Ethos and Mission Statement

We at FASD Aware NI established a strategic plan to help and support everyone affected by FASD in Northern Ireland.

The following elements are part of our mission statement:


To raise awareness of Foetol Alcohol Spectrum Disorder in Northern Ireland.


To help prevent further Foetol Alcohol Disorder in Northen Ireland.


To change NHS Guidelines to include the dangerous effects of alcohol consumption during pregnancy.


To setup at least one support group for families affected by FASD per council in Northern Ireland.


To have at least one Family Fun Day Out every year.


To setup Youth Gaming Groups for children with additional needs such as FASD and Autism. The aim of this is to support children to develop their numeracy, literacy and social skills.

We are very happy to annouce that we at FASD Aware NI are taking part on the Inflatable Coloured Run in Downpatrick on the 29th of July!
